![]() ![]() Their Berserker Vow skill allows them to raise their attack for three turns at the cost of some health. The Gladiator's strength lies in his buff and de-buff abilities. The most powerful class in Etrian Odyssey 3 is the Gladiator class. Its actually so hilarious that one of the bonus boss of EOU have a gimmick that is bypassed completely by Poison damage, and at the time i thought Viper is so broken it did thatīesides that some Grimoire skills from boss is worth re-rolling for with Hunting Horn. The Shogun and Yggdroid are unlocked later in the game. This is not even including all of its skillset since stuff like Wrath Might and no Bind Ecstasy's messed up damage scaling which is dumb in its own rights Its so stupid that you could beat most boss by pressing Guard after you inflict them. Boosted Viper is actually your strongest tool for roughly 70-80% of the game simply because of how stupidly high your poison damage are. I generally try to have Protector, 2-3 attackers, and 1-2 support units.ĭark Hunter is probably the single most ridiculous class at least for Boss fights, simply because of how stupid it was all game. Ditto for Fantasia if you use elemental attacks. Prelude is not as good as EO2U, but it's still worth a slot if you stack a lot of buffs/debuffs. Boosted buffs/debuffs can be refreshed by repeating the skill yes, but Taboo Rondo makes that much easier. Taboo Rondo is an excellent skill to maintain buffs/debuffs on allies/debuffs (btw, leave it at 9 level 10 gains no benefit but TP cost goes up). Troubadour is worth mentioning if you use a lot of buffs and debuffs. Pair it with Landsknecht for Boosted War Cry and you got yourself some serious heavy-hitter. ![]() Gunner can argue a place with Action Boost, but you need to play through Story Mode first to access it in any shape or form, barring hacking and stuff. Boosted) Ecstasy hits harder than 1 bind Ecstasy. Buff/debuff stacking works to some level, but that too has limitations.Īs for the pure offensive power (barring Grimoires), I think Dark Hunter is the best as said due to Wrath's Might and 0-Bind Ecstasy. ailment/bind lockdown isn't as reliable in EOU as in some other games. While it is entirely possible to play through the game without one (I've done it twice barring the strongest boss in the game personally), the usual alternative i.e. Generally speaking, in EOU, Protector is one unit I would recommend for most people. Creating your own team is more fun, and you learn what every class does. Try looking at the skills of the classes yourself. Of course, you can just put another class somewhere if you feel like it. They can also imbue an ally’s weapon with an element. These guys have a wide array of buffs, such as sharing healing, raising max HP, etc. Also, they cannot use skills if they do not have the corresponding stance active. They have low vitality, and thus low defences. The most notable are Breath, which heals the user and adjacent allies, and the elemental attack skills that has different ways of targeting (Line Piercing, splash, whole line). Ronin have a rather wide array of skills. It lets them control the enemy while they are afraid. Furthermore, they get skills related to the ailment Fear. Really powerful skill if you want to risk your Hexer dying for max damage. Combines well with an Ecstasy focused Dark Hunter if the Hexer has binds. Hexer, a class completely focused around inflicting binds, applying debuffs, and ailments. ![]() The question marks can be, with my recommendation: Dark Hunter is for damage, and binds or ailments. Medic is basically a necessity, but you can try using other skills for healing. I am not saying you can use 6 party members, FYI. I guess I could suggest something? Do keep in mind I may not be giving the most powerful team. Like someone else already said, there isn’t really a best class.
